Maged Saad is an experienced pharmacist, pharmacy owner, and corporate director with a strong background in both international and Canadian pharmacy practice.
Maged earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Assiut University in Egypt in 1996 and began his career practicing as a licensed pharmacist in Egypt. He went on to gain valuable international experience over four years at a major hospital in Saudi Arabia, serving in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
In 2002, Maged immigrated to Canada and achieved licensure as a pharmacist in Ontario in 2004. Since then, he has built a robust and well-rounded career across various community pharmacy environments, including:
- Grocery-based pharmacies such as Metro and Food Basics
- National retail chains including Zellers and Walmart
From 2012 to 2023, Maged served as the Associate Owner of a high-volume Shoppers Drug Mart in Kitchener, where he led daily operations, managed a multidisciplinary team, and oversaw multi-million dollars in sales.
With over 20 years of experience in pharmacy practice and business leadership, Maged brings a wealth of knowledge in patient care, team development, and operational efficiency.
Maged has proudly called the South End of Guelph home for over 20 years, and his work is deeply rooted in the community he serves. With decades of experience in both pharmacy practice and business leadership, he brings a wealth of expertise in patient care, team development, and operational excellence.
Outside of his professional role, Maged is a strong advocate for health and wellness. He enjoys working out, biking, and engaging with his local community.
